My name is Miguel Milo Depuydt. I love – among other things – sun, sea, and sports. After my studies, I traveled abroad during the summer season where I worked in the watersports sector. During the winter season, I worked in the Leuven area as a fitness instructor and taught snowboarding.
While I was on a Greek island for a summer season, I had a serious accident resulting in paralysis. I was flown to Ghent University Hospital, where I spent 2 months in intensive care and 14 months starting the relearning to speak, getting out of the wheelchair, etc. After the hospital, many years of recovery training followed.
During my more than 15 years recovery, I was challenged on every level and I had to use all my willpower and knowledge of the human body to accelerate my recovery.
This serious accident and the intense recovery have deepened my interest in, and understanding of human potential, and increased my motivation to contribute to human physical and psychological health and fitness.
During my rehabilitation I discovered the healing effects of several types of massage and Shiatsu and I started to study them.
Eventually, I started working as a professional masseur.
See you soon?
Regards,
Miguel
